Contrary to reports, San Jose Sharks winger Kevin Labanc is not going on waivers.

Frank Seravalli tweeted that San Jose Sharks winger Kevin Labanc was going on waivers today.

Sharks PR confirmed that the report "had no merit," and Labanc was in the lineup tonight.

"I didn't even look," Labanc said. He also confirmed that there were never any discussions with his agent about the possibility of waivers. 

"I'm excited to be in the lineup and help the team do everything that we can to win the game," Labanc said. "[I] just want to [play] hard and heavy, and it's exciting to be back in the lineup."
