San Jose Sharks leading scorer Mikael Granlund will miss his second straight game with an upper-body injury.

Granlund leads the team with 24 points (nine goals, 15 assists). Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky deemed the forward as day-to-day. Granlund participated in morning skate but didn't go through any line rushes.

When the Sharks faced the Dallas Stars on November 20, Granlund received an elbow to the head and was forced to leave due to a concussion spotter. With under three minutes remaining, he did not return. The next night, he would play in the Sharks' game against the St. Louis Blues.

Warsofsky did not reveal whether this injury was related to that situation.

On Monday, Macklin Celebrini skated in Granlund's usual spot against the Los Angeles Kings and had a career-high three points. Celebrini stayed in that spot during today's morning skate.

San Jose hosts the Ottawa Senators and is looking to win its second straight game.
