Last night the San Jose Sharks took on the New York Islanders in search for their first win of the season. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned and they lost to the Islanders 4-3.

This now brings their losing streak to six games to start the season and 17 consecutive games dating back to last season.

This is also their fourth straight season with a losing record. In 2023, they went 0-5-0 in five games. In 2024, they went  0-10-1 in 11 games. Last season, they went 0-7-2 in nine games and now this season, they are 0-4-2 in six games.

Last night, they scored two in the first period and one in the third, and fell short. But there was one small bright spot in the game.

Their 2025 first round pick Michael Misa recorded his first career point, on a very nice passing play.

The play started on a save clearing attempt and was sent down deep by Sam Dickinson. Colin Graf was first to puck and sent a behind the back pass to Misa at the side of the net, who held on it and sent it across the crease to Adam Gaudette who fired it home.

It was a very pretty passing play, but also was the highlight of the game for the Sharks.
