Celebrini was the first overall pick in the 2024 NHL Draft, and photos surfaced of him and Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby together at the event.

While it isn't significant breaking news, meeting a future hall of famer like Crosby was likely a star-striking moment for the 18-year-old Sharks centerman.

Crosby and Celebrini are connected through their draft positions, but CCM sponsors both players. Crosby has used CCM as his gear provider since entering the league. Originally part of the Reebok brand, CCM bought out Reebok but still produces similar products. 

Crosby has often been compared to the latest first-overall picks, given most players entering the league now grew up watching the three-time Stanley Cup Champion. Last season's first overall pick, Connor Bedard, had his first faceoff against Crosby nationally televised and received a message from the referee. 

Celebrini will faceoff against Crosby for the first time on Nov. 16 in Pittsburgh.
