What a season it has been for this Lightning forward.
The Tampa Bay Lightning have an immensely strong forward group led by stars Nikita Kucherov, Brayden Point, Steven Stamkos, and Brandon Hagel. While these four often and understandably get the most credit out of Lightning forwards, Nick Paul also deserves some time in the spotlight.
Paul, 29, is quietly having a career season for the Lightning and has been a notable part of their recent success. In 71 games, he has set new career highs with 19 goals, 19 assists, and 38 points. He also has been on a tear lately, posting six points over his last eight games.

Seeing Paul's offense go up this season has been excellent, especially during such a crucial part of the campaign. However, he has also remained steady defensively and impactful with his physicality, posting 89 hits.
The hope for Paul now is to maintain his strong all-around play for the remainder of the regular season and during the playoffs. He is such an important player on the Lightning's roster when playing at his best, and we are seeing that this season. It will be intriguing to see how he finishes the campaign from here.
