The Lightning have a cheap depth forward worth targeting on the Wild.
The Tampa Bay Lightning's biggest priority at the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline is to add a defenseman. Nobody is arguing against that. Yet, at the same time, they would benefit by improving their forward depth before the end of the week.
Due to this, one player who the Lightning should have on their radar during this week is Minnesota Wild forward Connor Dewar.

Dewar, 24, is quietly having a solid season for the Wild in 2023-24, posting nine goals, 13 points, and 89 hits in 56 games. Overall, he has provided decent offense to go along with plenty of physicality in a bottom-six role. This is exactly the kind of player that the Lightning could use right now.
What's also appealing about Dewar is that he has a very affordable $800,000 cap hit and an RFA expiry status. Because of this, the Lightning would still have his signing rights after the season, meaning he would be more than a rental if acquired.
The Wild are unlikely to demand too much for Dewar in a trade, so he would be a good depth forward for the Lightning to consider adding. Let's see if they make a push for him over the next couple days from here.
