This Panthers forward is set to miss time.
The Tampa Bay Lightning fell to the Florida Panthers on Tuesday in overtime by a 3-2 final score. With it, they are now down 2-0 in the series and desperately need to secure a win in Game 3 to keep their chances alive.
For the next little bit, the Lightning won't be dealing with one of the Panthers' top players. While speaking to reporters, Panthers head coach Paul Maurice announced that forward Sam Bennett will be out of action for at least one week. Maurice also noted that Bennett's injury is not as severe as they expected.
Bennett suffered an upper-body injury during the second period of Game 2 and exited the game noticeably holding his wrist.

Bennett, 27, is a key forward on the Panthers' roster. He not only provides strong offensive production but is also an effective agitator and extremely physical. Because of this, him being out of the lineup is certainly not a bad thing for the Bolts.
In 69 games this regular season with the Panthers, Bennett had 20 goals, 41 points, 173 hits, and 100 penalty minutes. In two playoff games, he has a goal and an assist.
