This new Tampa Bay Lightning defenseman is already becoming an important part of the roster.

After a tough 5-2 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday (Oct. 21), the Tampa Bay Lightning immediately faced off against the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday (Oct. 22). The Lightning bounced back in a big way, defeating the Devils by an 8-5 final score.
One of the many reasons the Lightning won was because of the play of J.J. Moser. The left-shot defenseman had a strong game for the Bolts, as he posted one goal and three points on the night. While Moser got some luck from a big bounce with his goal, there is no denying that a three-point from a defenseman is always special.
With his big game, Moser now has two goals, six points, and a plus-8 rating in his first six games this campaign. It has been an excellent start for the 24-year-old, and he is already emerging as a key part of the Lightning's roster because of it.

When the Lightning acquired Moser as a part of the Mikhail Sergachev trade with the Utah Hockey Club, the hope was that he would take another step forward in his development. So far, he is on track to doing just that.
