The Tampa Bay Lightning have trimmed their training camp roster significantly, as nine players have been cut from it.
Declan Carlile, Dylan Duke, Gage Goncalves, Maxim Groshev, Steven Santini, Gabriel Szturc, Matt Tomkins, and Jesse Ylonen have all been assigned to the Lightning's American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch.

In addition, Ethan Gauthier has been re-assigned to the Drummondville Voltigeurs of the QMJHL. With Gauthier being re-assigned to the junior level, he is not eligible to play for the Lightning or Crunch this season.
With these cuts, the Lightning's training camp roster now has a total of 26 players remaining.
