Treliving and Snow worked together in the Flames organization from 2014-2023.
The Maple Leafs and GM Brad Treliving put out a statement on Saturday night following the passing of Calgary Flames Assistant GM Chris Snow.
"I am devastated with the loss of our dear friend and colleague, Chris Snow," Treliving said in a statement on Saturday.
"'Snowy' was a true example of strength, courage, grit, and compassion. Beyond being an exceptional colleague, he was a cherished friend who deeply impacted our lives. His intellect was matched only by his incredible kindness, thoughtfulness, and unwavering love and devotion to his family and friends.
"Chris inspired us all as he faced the relentless battle with ALS head-on, refusing to let it define him or derail his spirit.
"On behalf of my family and the Toronto Maple Leafs organization, we send our thoughts and prayers to his beloved wife Kelsie, his son Cohen, and his daughter Willa during this unimaginably difficult time. May they find comfort in knowing Chris's legacy of love and strength will forever endure."
Snow passed away from a long and inspiring battle with ALS. He and Treliving worked together in the Calgary Flames organization for nearly 10 years.
Snow was 42. We at The Hockey News Toronto send our condolences to Kelsie, Cohen, Willa, and the entire Snow family during this incredibly difficult time.
