The Canucks wrapped up their 2023-24 regular season schedule with a 4-2 loss to the Jets.

The Vancouver Canucks (50-23-9) finished their 2023-24 regular season with a 4-2 loss to the Winnipeg Jets (52-24-6). Conor Garland and Elias Lindholm scored for the Canucks, while Thatcher Demko stopped 22 of 25 shots he faced. Vancouver finishes the season with 109 points, which ranks third in franchise history behind the 2010-11 and 2011-12 teams.

Despite the loss, there were some positives that can be taken from this game. The Canucks once again went perfect on the penalty kill while also converting on the power play. Arguably, the most important fact from this game was that no player left with an injury as Vancouver now gets set for their 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs opener against the Nashville Predators on Sunday.

Quotes

Quinn Hughes on the Canucks performance versus the Jets:

"Obviously, we were missing some big players, but I thought we were decent, and I think everyone is looking forward to the playoffs."

Quinn Hughes on the play of Thatcher Demko:

"Thatcher's the last guy I am worried about. He made some massive saves tonight, and he's going to make some big saves throughout the series."

Rick Tocchet on the upcoming playoffs:

"I'm really looking forward to it. It's going to be a fun time for the guys. I want them to enjoy it. We got some work to do the next two, three days to prepare and it's going to be exciting."

Rick Tocchet on having success in the playoffs:

"I think for our group, we just have to worry about game one. You can't look at the big thing; what if we gotta win a series and all that stuff. I think it's dangerous if you think that way. I think honestly, we prepare for the first period against Nashville and be ready to play from that first shift. That's the way I think you approach these things. I think when you think big picture, that's when people get nervous. More of a short-term goal for us."
