Despite tying Game 4 late, the Vancouver Canucks fell 3-2 to the Edmonton Oilers in heartbreaking fashion. Overall, it was not a great effort by the Canucks, but there were standouts, including Dakota Joshua, Artūrs Šilovs and Conor Garland. Here is a look at Vancouver's three stars from Game 4.
First Star: Dakota Joshua
Joshua was phenomenal in Game 4. Not only did he score the game-tying goal, but he finished the night with nine hits. Whether it was in front of the net or along the board, he used his size to his advantage and was able to lay some bone-crunching hits on the night.
Second Star: Artūrs Šilovs
Another night, another standout performance from Šilovs. The Canucks goaltender made 27 saves, keeping Vancouver in Game 4 for as long as he possibly could. Overall, he made some unbelievable saves while also showing how confident he is, coming out of his goal and beating Evander Kane to a loose puck close to the blue line.
Third Star: Conor Garland
For the second straight game, Garland was one of the most impressive players for Vancouver. The stat sheet backs this claim as in 18:08 of ice time, Garland finished with a goal, four shots, a hit and two blocked shots. Just like in the regular season, he has been a difference-maker at even strength and was able to switch the momentum of the game in the third, thanks to his hard work and willingness to get pucks on the net.
