The Vancouver Canucks left Game 2 disappointed as they fell to the Edmonton Oilers 4-3 in overtime. Despite the loss, there were a few players who stepped up and had solid games for Vancouver. Here is a look at Artūrs Šilovs, Conor Garland and Nikita Zadorov, who finished as the Canucks three stars for Game 2.
1st Star: Artūrs Šilovs
After a shaky Game 1, Šilovs delivered in Game 2 for Vancouver. The Latvian goalkeeper made 27 saves, which included 14 in the third period alone. While he didn't pick up the win, Šilovs showed he can bounce back and stand on his head if needed.
2nd Star: Conor Garland
While he didn't find the scoresheet, Garland was impressive all night. He led the team in shots with five and was tied for the team lead in blocks with three. Garland is expected to play a significant role in this series, with his combination of skill and strong two-way play on full display in Game 2.
3rd Star: Nikita Zadorov
Zadorov continues to deliver for this Canucks team. Big Z had a goal and an assist while also finishing the night with three hits in 21:34. His ability to perform under pressure has been a significant part of Vancouver's run so far, as he once again showed just how valuable he is to this lineup.
