The 2024 version of the annual tournament will feature prospects from the Vancouver Canucks, Winnipeg Jets, Calgary Flames and Edmonton Oilers organizations.

The Vancouver Canucks have officially revealed details for this year's Young Star Classic. This year's event will once again take place in Penticiton at the South Okanagan Events Centre and will run from September 13-16, 2024. Like last year, the Canucks prospects will face off against the Winnipeg Jets, Calgary Flames and Edmonton Oilers, with each squad facing off against each other.
This year's edition should feature plenty of exciting prospects from Vancouver's organization, as well as the other three participants. Some of the prospects expected to be part of the Canucks submission include Memorial Cup hero Josh Bloom and the OHL's Most Underrated Western Conference Player for the 2023-24 season, Kirill Kudryavtsev. As for the other three teams, some names to watch will be Colby Barlow from the Jets, Samuel Honzek from the Flames, and Beau Akey from the Oilers.
In a statement, GM Patrik Allvin said, "We are excited to be heading back to Penticton this fall to participate in this great event. This will be an opportunity for some of our top prospects to work with Manny Malhotra in a very competitive environment. We look forward to seeing Jonathan Lekkerimäki, Elias Pettersson, Ty Mueller and Ty Young compete in this tournament." While tickets aren't on sale yet, those wishing to attend the event are asked to sign up here for more information.
