It's official, Vancouver Canucks captain Quinn Hughes will be on the cover of EA Sports NHL 25. Quinn will join brothers Jack and Luke as cover athletes for the popular game. This will be the third time a Canucks player will be on the official cover, as Hughes joins Kirk McLean, who was featured in 1995 as well as Markus Näslund, who was selected in 2005.
In addition to the three players on the official cover, multiple other players from Vancouver have been featured in International releases. Näslund was on the EU cover in 2001, while the Sedins brothers made an appearance in 2010 on the Swedish version. Henrik Sedin was also featured on a special Canadian version in 2013, while more recently, Elias Pettersson was on the Swedish cover in 2020.
Hughes had an impressive season both on the ice and in NHL 24. He became the first player in franchise history to win the Norris Trophy while was one of two active Canucks to receive a 99 overall card in HUT this year. Hughes also finished as the top-ranked Canucks player in the game, finishing with a 95 rating, which was tied with Cale Makar for the highest among defenceman.
