Nathan Ray Seebeck-USA TODAY Sports - Maple Leafs Prospect Idolizes Canucks' J.T. Miller

Toronto Maple Leafs prospect Fraser Minten wanted to go to a Vancouver Canucks playoff watch party yesterday because he idolizes J.T. Miller's playstyle.

Minten is a Vancouver native and plays in the WHL for the Saskatoon Blades. The Blades lost in round three of the WHL Playoffs.

Miller is known for his competitiveness and aggression on the ice. Regardless of the outcome, he isn't afraid to get involved in any situation. Miller and Minten have similar body types, making the Canucks forward an excellent example for Minten to model his game after.

Minten had 38 points in 36 regular season games for the Blades this season. He scored eight goals and six assists in 16 playoff games.

"I'd be lying if I was saying I wasn't [a Canucks fan]," Minten told TSN's Mark Masters. "I'm still watching all the games. I was trying to get tickets to go to the watch party."

When it comes to watching J.T. Miller, Minten explained why he is drawn to watching the Canucks leading scorer play.

"I love how hard he competes. He doesn't cheat the game at all," Minten said. "He's playing physical. He plays defense. He's really good offensively, too. Good playmaker. Good shooter. Love watching a guy like him."
