Vancouver Canucks top prospect Jonathan Lekkerimäki has made Sweden's senior roster for the first time.

Vancouver Canucks top prospect Jonathan Lekkerimäki has made Sweden's senior roster for the first time.

In preparation for the 2024 IIHF World Championship in May, Sweden is playing a four-game set against Finland.

Lekkerimäki has never played for a Sweden senior roster but has represented them at the World Juniors. After his season in the SHL ended, the youngster was assigned to Abbotsford, where he would play six games and score one goal and one assist.

This camp will take place from April 14th to April 24th. Lekkerimäki's performance during the camp and games will determine if he will play for Sweden during the World Championships.

The WC takes place from May 10th to May 26th in Czechia.
