Elias Pettersson has been recognized for his outstanding season so far. The Vancouver Canucks center was voted into NHL 24's Community Team of the Season, receiving a special HUT card that will automatically upgrade for the rest of the season. Pettersson is one of three Canucks players to be included in the Team of the Season event, joining Quinn Hughes and Thatcher Demko, whose cards have already been released.
Pettersson's 2023-24 season has been filled with career highs and milestones. With three games to go, he is up to 88 points and has set new career highs in power play goals, game-winning goals, and hits while is above 50% in the faceoff dot for the first time in his career. Pettersson also signed the largest contract in franchise history earlier this season, paying him $92.8 million over the next eight seasons.
Pettersson's HUT card carries a 96 overall rating, which is the same as Hughes' Team of the Year card. Pettersson's card includes multiple attributes ranked at a 99 overall, including defensive awareness, offensive awareness, wrist shot accuracy and passing. List at 6'2", 176 pounds, his card also has three synergy slots, with each slot adding +3 to whichever synergy is selected.
