The 2024 NCAA Championship is set with Jack Malone set to compete for the title. Malone, a sixth-round pick by the Vancouver Canucks in 2019, helped the Boston College Eagles take down fellow Canucks prospect Jacob Truscott and the University of Michigan in the Final Four. This will be Boston College's 12th appearance in the Championship, with the program looking for their sixth title and first since 2012.

While Malone didn't find the scoresheet in Boston College's 4-0 victory, he did have an impact on the game. Malone finished with one shot and went six for twelve in the faceoff dot. As for Truscott, he finished the game with two shots while leading the University of Michigan in blocks with three. Now that Truscott's NCAA career is complete, he has until August 15, 2024, to sign with the Canucks. Based on multiple reports, it looks like the 2020 fifth-round pick will not be signing with Vancouver, instead opting to become a college free agent during the offseason.

Malone and Boston College will face the University of Denver in the Championship. To get to the Championship, the University of Denver beat Boston University 2-1 in overtime. With the loss, Canucks prospects Tom Willander and Aiden Celebrini's seasons came to a close. Both are expected to return to the NCAA next season, meaning neither will be signing a contract with Vancouver this offseason. The NCAA Championship is scheduled for April 13, 2024, at 3:00 pm PT from the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota.
