Greg Adams, Darcy Hordichuk and Michael Grabner will be part of the board for the Matt Shott Arizona Hockey Legacy Foundation.

With the Arizona Coyotes officially moving to Utah next season, one of the significant concerns has been the future of youth hockey in Arizona. Those concerns were answered on Thursday with the creation of the Matt Shott Arizona Hockey Legacy Foundation. Led by former Olympian Lyndsey Fry, the goal of the foundation is to support all youth hockey programs at every level across the Phoenix metropolitan area.
The board also includes three Vancouver Canucks alumni who will have to conserve youth hockey in the State. The three alumni are Greg Adams, Darcy Hordichuk and Michael Grabner, who all played for both the Canucks and Coyotes during their careers. Jason Demers will also be part of the board, along with multiple business and community leaders.
According to their website, the Matt Shott Arizona Hockey Legacy Foundation will start taking donations in May. As per the press release, "The Matt Shott Arizona Hockey Legacy Foundation is a non-profit organization designed to operate grassroots programming and offer grants that would support all rinks and programs in Arizona. Shott's name hangs in every rink in the Valley because of the selfless dedication he gave for over a decade to grow hockey in Arizona. The foundation aims to build a $10 million endowment over the next five to 10 years."
