Vegas Golden Knights are 3-7 in their last 10.
The Vegas Golden Knights are to steer out of its losing skid with a game against the New York Islanders at T-Mobile Arena 7 p.m. Saturday.
“We know we haven’t been playing how we want to play. We have to be a lot better,” Vegas forward Chandler Stephenson said. “It’s something that’s been going on for a while now. Everybody’s excited and knows what they need to do here going forward.”
The Golden Knights are 3-7-0 in their last 10 games and are 1-6 in their last seven.
Special teams have been one of the issues with lack of production and the inability to keep the puck out of the net.
Team defense, even in 5-on-5 situations, hasn’t been as sharp either.
The Golden Knights have allowed at least three goals in nine of their last 11 games.
The Islanders come into the game relatively inconsistent, alternating wins and losses since Dec. 19.
They’re 4-3-3 in their last 10 and 2-2-1 in the last five.
“They’ve changed their identity in terms of what I remember,” Vegas coach Bruce Cassidy said. “Now they’re a little more dynamic, but also giving up at the other end. So looser team than what I remember.”
