Minnesota Wild forward Ryan Hartman will have a hearing for unsportsmanlike conduct for his actions during Saturday's game against the Vegas Golden Knights.
Hartman is facing discipline for throwing his stick in the direction of an official. Hartman was upset because he felt Noah Hanifin should have received a high-sticking penalty in the final minute of the third period.
If Hanifin was called for a high stick, the Wild would have been on the power play for the rest of regulation and for the start of the overtime. Jonathan Marchessault scored the winner in overtime after the Wild pulled their goalie.
With the hearing being done over the phone Hartman can be suspended for five games or less.
The 29-year-old has been suspended three times in his career and fined seven times. His most recent suspension was this season on Nov. 26 for kneeing Alex DeBrincat of the Detroit Red Wings.
The American has 19 goals and 42 points in 68 games this season.
