The QMJHL announced its 2026 Hall of Fame class on Tuesday, with four players and one builder being inducted one of the league's highest honours in September.
Marc-Andre Fleury is the most well-known name being inducted, with the legendary Cape Breton goaltender more than earning this honour.
Fleury played 151 games in the QMJHL and was named the first overall pick in the 2003 NHL draft, still holding the title of the most recent goalie to ever be selected with the top pick.
His illustrious career includes three Stanley Cups, an Olympic gold medal, a Vezina trophy and the second-highest win mark of any goalie in NHL history.
Donald Audette recorded 309 points in 199 career QMJHL games for the Laval Titan, capping his major junior career with a President Cup in 1989.
He graduated to the NHL, and scored over 500 career points across his 14-season pro career, with stops in Buffalo, LA, Dallas, Atlanta, Montreal and Florida.
Audette is one of just 18 players to record at least 300 QMJHL points as well as over 500 NHL points.
Jean-Marc Richard is one of just five defensemen to record 300 career QMJHL points, with the former Chicoutimi Saguenéen ending his four-season major junior career with 301 in 268 games.
He had two separate seasons with over 100 points, and won the QMJHL defenseman of the year award in the 1986-87 season.
Richard played five career NHL games with the Quebec Nordiques, and had a long, successful pro career between the AHL, IHL, DEL and Italian top flight.
David-Alexandre Beauregard enjoyed a four-year QMJHL career between the Saint-Hyacinthe Laser, Moncton Alpines, Hull Olympiques and Shawinigan Cataractes.
He scored 223 points in 190 career regular-season games, and was an 11th-round pick in the 1994 NHL draft.
He was struck in the left eye with a stick later that year, and lost use of that eye. But, that didn't stop him from returning to the QMJHL, and having a successful professional career, playing over 1,000 career pro games.
Jacques Tanguay joins the Hall of Fame as a builder, being involved with the QMJHL for over 30 years.
Tanguay owned the Quebec Remparts for nearly 20 years, and remained the team's president for another decade. Under his reign, the Remparts won the Memorial Cup twice (2006, 2023) and remain a top franchise to this day.
He was the president of the organizing committee for the 2025 Memorial Cup in Rimouski, and has passed his love of junior hockey to his son Alexandre, who owns the Océanic.
