The Moncton Wildcats have clinched a playoff spot, but aren't done adding to their roster for the 2025-26 season.
The league leaders have signed forward Jacob Wingfield from the BCHL's Powell River Kings to add some sandpaper to their bottom six.
Wingfield, 20, leads the BCHL in PIMs this season with 108 in 30 games, as well as putting up three goals and four assists.
The 6-foot-1, 216-pound forward was born in Connecticut while his father Brad was playing with the Danbury Trashers. Brad Wingfield ended his hockey career in Quebec, playing two seasons with the Sherbrooke Saint-François of the LNAH.
Now, his son gets to play in the QMJHL, and join the defending Gilles-Courteau trophy winners as they hope to defend their title in 2025-26
Wingfield does not have any uSports or NCAA commitments for his future.
