Charlottetown Islanders forward Ivan Ryabkin has been suspended one playoff game for abuse of officials, the QMJHL announced Monday.
With the suspension, the Carolina Hurricanes draft pick will miss game three of Charlottetown's first-round series against the Quebec Remparts.
The infraction happened at the 12:03 mark of game two of this series, where with the Islanders down 4-0, Ryabkin got into it in a scrum with Quebec's Ryan Howard. The Russian import went too far and ended up picking up a misconduct for abuse of officials.

The 5-foot-11, 205 pound centre put up 42 points in 20 regular season games, and started his playoffs with a two-goal, four-point performance in the Islanders' game one victory.
But, the Remparts equalized the series in game two, and now have a big chance to take the series lead on Tuesday as the series shifts to Québec City and their opponents without their top-line centre for game three.
It's been a busy start to the playoffs for the QMJHL disciplinary committee as a whole, as Drummondville's Dylan Dumont, Chicoutimi's Emile Ricard and Shawinigan's Drew Hockley each also picking up one game suspensions in their respective series, as well as a bevy of fines being handed out to teams for warmup infractions.
