The second-last week of the 2025-26 QMJHL season is now complete. Each team has two games left, and we know where everyone stands heading into the decisive weekend.
One big piece of knowledge is who controls their destiny to win their respective conferences. Out West, the Voltigeurs laid their claim with a win over the Armada.

With both teams sitting tied at 82 points through 61 games, two points would put the winner of this game one point ahead of the idle Rouyn-Noranda Huskies, and in a position where two wins on the final weekend would guarantee them the top seed in the West.
It was the Volts who seized the opportunity. Dylan Dumont's goal at 16:42 of the first period gave them a lead they would never give up.
That was aided by a big second period, where Maxime-Olivier Drolet and Lou Levesque's goals gave the visitors the 3-0 lead heading into the third period.
Justin Carbonneau made things interesting for a moment, scoring his 51st of the season on the man advantage. But Owen Ronson and Dumont's second of the game locked things down, and gave Drummondville a huge 5-1 victory, and a big leg up in terms of playoff seeding.
Dumont (2+0) and Drolet (1+1) came up big, while Renard Poulin and William Dumont had two assists each. Jan Larys came up big, as he so often has this season, stopping 35 of 36 shots.
This is another disappointing loss for the Armada, who really need Xavier Villeneuve fit and firing come playoff time. But injuries can't be used as an excuse, and the rest of this star-studded roster may be in for a tougher challenge in the playoffs if they can't make up some ground in the West next weekend.
Meanwhile, Drummdville has two games where they know if they win, they'll be Western Conference champs for the regular season. A sneaky hot Sherbrooke team at home on Friday, and a trip to Gatineau on Saturday.
