Prince Albert Raiders 7, Medicine Hat Tigers 6Prince Albert Win Series 4-2
The Prince Albert Raiders are heading to the WHL Final. In an offensive explosion on Sunday night, the Raiders defeated the Medicine Hat Tigers 7-6 to claim the Eastern Conference Championship.
The Raiders and Tigers combined for 13 goals, with momentum swinging wildly through every period. Jonas Woo opened the scoring for the Tigers early in the first, but the Raiders responded quickly through Riley Boychuk.
The second period saw a staggering six goals combined, including power-play markers from Braeden Cootes and Aiden Oiring. Despite the Raiders holding a lead late in the second frame, the Tigers roared back in the third. Kade Stengrim and Josh Van Mulligen tallied early in the final period. Although Liam Ruck brought the Tigers within one with just six seconds remaining, the Raiders held on to ignite the celebration at the Art Hauser Centre.
