Brock England is the first WHLer named to the event.
Brock England is headed to Chicoutimi and Québec City in December. The Seattle Thunderbirds forward was one of four players named to Team CHL's roster for the 2026 CHL USA Prospects Challenge. This year's event will be hosted by Chicoutimi on December 1 and Québec City on December 2.
Joining England on Team CHL will be Dima Zhilkin of the Saginaw Spirit, Alexis Joseph of the Saint John Sea Dogs and Carter Meyer of the Québec Remparts. The CHL USA Prospects Challenge pits the best draft-eligible players from the CHL against the U.S. National Under-18 Team. Notable players from last season include Mathis Preston, Liam Ruck, Markus Ruck, and Harrison Boettiger.
England is a projected first-round pick for the 2027 NHL Draft. The 17-year-old center had a strong rookie campaign in the WHL with 51 points in 64 games. England has also represented Canada multiple times, including at the 2027 Hlinka Gretzky Cup, where he won a Gold Medal.
