Welcome to this edition of the 2025 WHL Prospect Pools. Throughout the 2025 off-season, we will be taking a look at current or recently graduated WHLers who have either been drafted or signed by NHL clubs. Today's organization is the Vegas Golden Knights, which has three WHLers in its prospect pool.

The Jets have some talented WHL forwards within their prospect pool. Winnipeg selected Victoria Royals center Markus Loponen in 2024 and Spokane Chiefs center Owen Martin in 2025. The Jets also acquired Lethbridge Hurricanes center Brayden Yager last year, who was a first-round pick in 2023.
Starting with Yager, he spent the year split between the Moose Jaw Warriors and the Hurricanes. The 20-year-old posted 82 points in 54 games and was part of Canada's 2025 World Juniors team. Listed at 6'0", 170 lbs, Yager will be making the jump to the AHL for the 2025-26 season.
Up next is Loponen, who had a strong rookie campaign in the WHL. The 19-year-old recorded 44 points in 65 games and was one of five Finnish players in the league. Listed at 6'1", 185 lbs, Loponen is reportedly headed to Liiga in Finland next season.
Last up is Martin, who has developed into a key part of Spokane's roster. The 18-year-old recorded 34 points in 39 games before posting 12 points in 20 playoff games. Listed at 6'0", 185 lbs, Martin is projected to be a key contributor for the Chiefs in 2025-26.
