Clarkson is bringing in three members of the London Devilettes, including multiple U-18 World Champions in a strong 2023-2024 women's hockey recruiting class.

The Clarkson Golden Knights women's hockey team will get a little bit devilish next season as they welcome three recruits from the London Devilettes program including a pair who won gold with Canada's U-18 national team last year.
With Gabrielle David signing a pro contract with the PHF's Boston Pride, and Stephanie Markowski choosing to transfer to Ohio State for her fifth season of eligibility, Clarkson had major holes to fill, but found some of the top talent available to help replace their outgoing stars.
Here's a look at the Clarkson women's hockey recruiting class for 2023-2024.
Keira Hurry, D, 2005 - The five-foot-ten defender comes to Clarkson from the London Devilettes where she recorded 37 points in 36 games from the blueline. Hurry was one of five Devilettes to make Team Canada's U-18 national team last season helping Canada win gold scoring three points in five games. Hurry reads the play well and uses her size to win puck battles and shut down opponents. She's also active on the offensive side of the game, exposing shooting lanes and joining the rush.
Shelby Laidlaw, F, 2005 - This may sound familiar, but Laidlaw is a London Devilettes product who won gold with Team Canada at the U-18 World Championships. One of three Devilettes headed to Clarkson, Laidlaw had 26 points in 35 OWHL U22 Elite games this season. Laidlaw is a playmaker with good on ice vision helping set up her teammates.
Rebecca Morissette, F, 2003 - A more mature recruit, Morisette already has multiple seasons of college hockey in Quebec under her belt playing for the Cégep Limoilou Titans. Last season Morissette had 31 points in 30 games for the Titans. Strong on her feet, Morissette could contribute immediately as a 20-year-old rookie.
Other commits for next season include London Devilettes forward Brigette Stevenson and Etobicoke Dolphins forward Taylor Storey.
Looking forward to 2024-2025, Clarkson will welcome Jenna Smellie and Hayley Kelleher to the Golden Knights program.
