The Chicago Blackhawks' NHL Mount Rushmore is a tough one. What do you do with one of the team's all-time great players with a very complicated legacy, asks Ken Campbell?
This was difficult. Very difficult. If you go by on-ice accomplishments, Bobby Hull is a top-three player in Chicago Blackhawks' history. But he leaves a very stained and complicated legacy, which certainly puts a tarnish on all those accomplishments.
I'm still putting him on my Mount Rushmore, but I can totally understand if he's not on yours. Bobby Hull is a polarizing figure.
But even later players such as Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews are not without their critics, since they were part of the organization when the Kyle Beach sexual assault was covered up by the Blackhawks.
