The Boston Bruins have added to their training camp roster, signing goaltender Kasimir Kaskisuo to a professional tryout (PTO) contract.

With Swayman still unsigned, it is not particularly surprising to see the Bruins inviting another goalie to camp. While Kaskisuo is unlikely to compete for an NHL spot, he could make a case for himself to earn a job with the Providence Bruins with a strong training camp.

Kaskisuo, 30, spent this past season down in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Laval Rocket. In 13 games for the AHL squad, the Vantaa, Finland native recorded a 7-4-0 record, a .909 save percentage (SV%), and a 2.90 goals-against average (GAA).

Kaskisuo has appeared in two career NHL regular-season games split between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Nashville Predators, recording a 0-1-0 record, a 4.78 GAA, and a .854 SV%. His last appearance in the NHL came during the 2020-21 season with the Predators.

We will now need to wait and see if Kaskisuo earns a contract of some kind from this PTO from here.
