It has been a year to forget for the Boston Bruins. After an off-season of spending, they have performed far below initial expectations and traded away multiple former core players because of it. The Bruins are also set to miss the playoffs for the first time since the 2015-16 season.

However, even with how this season has gone for the Bruins, David Pastrnak has continued to thrive. In 74 games this season, the 2014 first-round pick has recorded 35 goals and 51 assists. Due to his strong play, he is inching closer to a big stat.

Pastrnak only needs to record four more points to hit the 90-point mark for the third season in a row and fourth time in his career. When noting that not a single other Bruin has recorded 50 points this season, Pastrnak being this close to 90 points is incredibly impressive. He has continued to dominate offensively, even with minimal support.

The Bruins have eight games left this season, so Pastrnak has a good shot of hitting 90 points before it is over if he stays healthy. It will be interesting to see if he can do just that from here.
