Quinnipiac University's season is over, as they fell to Boston College to a 5-4 final score in overtime on Sunday. This is quite notable news, as top undrafted college free agent Collin Graf is now in a prime position to sign an entry-level contract.
Graf, 21, is expected to garner a plethora of interest, as he dominated at the collegiate level and has the potential to become an impactful NHL forward. According to MassLive's Matt Vautour, the Bruins are "expected to be in the mix" for Graf.

Hearing that the Bruins have an expected interest in Graf is not particularly surprising. After trading away several first-round picks, the Bruins' prospect pool is not very strong and could use some real improvement. As a result, bringing in a young player with good upside, like Graf, would be quite worthwhile for Boston.
As noted above, Graf has had a lot of success at the collegiate level. However, most of his success came after he transferred from Union College to Quinnipiac. In 74 games over two seasons with Quinnipiac, he had 43 goals and 107 points. That is incredible production.
With the Bruins needing more promising young forwards, they should make a strong push to try to land the Massachusetts native. Given how well he has played in college, the expectation is that he is very close to being NHL-ready. With the Bruins having multiple pending UFA forwards, he could fit into their lineup as soon as next season. Let's see if they can land him from here.
