The Bruins could some help down the middle, so let's look at three potential trade options.

It is no secret that the Boston Bruins could use another top-six center. While they did well last season after Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci retired, they are undoubtedly feeling their absences more this season.
Thus, let's look at three potential high-impact centers the Bruins could consider targeting if they look to improve down the middle.
Trevor Zegras needs a change of scenery. The 23-year-old forward has been in the rumor mill since last season and is off to a slow start this campaign. In 19 games, he has two goals, seven points, and a minus-4 rating. However, he has been heating up lately, posting four points in his last four games.

Zegras has two 23-goal seasons and two campaigns with at least 61 points. The 2019 ninth-overall pick has shown in the past that he can produce like a star. Could it be enough for the Bruins to make a serious pitch for him? While bringing him in would come with some risk, he is arguably the top center available due to his skill and young age.
New York Islanders center Brock Nelson is another player to watch in the trade market. He is in the final season of his contract, and the Islanders currently have an 8-8-5 record. With this, the possibility of him becoming available is there, so he is another potential target for the Bruins to consider.

Nelson is off to a decent start this season, posting eight goals and 13 points in 21 games. He also has scored at least 34 goals in each of the last three seasons and had 69 points this past season. Thus, he has the skill to be a big-time contributor, so he could be a nice rental for the Bruins to consider if the Islanders end up out of the playoff race.
Mikael Granlund has been excellent for the San Jose Sharks this season. In 23 games, he has nine goals and 24 points. This is after he had 12 goals and 60 points in 69 games with the Sharks last season. With numbers like these, he could be a strong addition to the Bruins' top six if acquired.

Granlund is a pending unrestricted free agent on a rebuilding Sharks team, so he has been creating some chatter in the rumor mill. If they do not agree to an extension once we get closer to the deadline, he could be another solid target for the Bruins.
