The 2023-24 season has been a success for the Boston Bruins. After losing several notable players, including Patrice Bergeron, David Krejci, Dmitry Orlov, and Tyler Bertuzzi, they are once again one of the NHL's best teams. This was unexpected by many.
Due to their strong season, the Bruins are one of several teams looking to clinch the top spot in the Eastern Conference. They are in a very close battle with the New York Rangers, Florida Panthers, and Carolina Hurricanes for it. Thus, if they hope to clinch it, they will need everyone on their roster to play their A-game, especially Hampus Lindholm.
Lindholm, 30, has been having some trouble lately. Over his last three games, the left-shot defenseman has zero points and a minus-4 rating. With the Bruins at such a critical juncture of the season, they need him to improve his play, both offensively and defensively.
Last season, we saw how impactful Lindholm can be when playing at his best. In 80 games, he had 10 goals and a career-high 53 points. This season, he has had trouble replicating that production, posting just one goal and 23 assists in 63 games.
