Morgan Geekie was such a great story from the Boston Bruins' nightmare 2024-25. While the Bruins struggled this past season, Geekie played the best hockey of his career and cemented himself as a major part of the team's future because of it.
In 77 games during the 2024-25 season with the Bruins, Geekie set new career highs with 33 goals, 24 assists, and 57 points. It was an excellent year for Geekie, and he only got better as it rolled on. In his final 25 games of the season, he scored an impressive 16 goals and recorded 28 points. This included ending the year on an 11-game point streak, where he had nine goals and 19 points over that span.
With the way Geekie finished the year, it is clear that he has hit a brand new level for the Original Six club. With this, the possibility of Geekie scoring 40 goals in 2025-26 should not be ruled out.

While Geekie had an excellent season for the Bruins in 2024-25, he notably had a tough start to the year. It took him until his 12th game of the year to score his first goal, and he had only two assists in his first 11 games. Thus, it took Geekie some time to get hot during his breakout year.
If Geekie replicates the way he finished last season throughout the entire 2025-26 campaign, he absolutely could score 40 goals. It is clear that he has found magic playing with superstar David Pastrnak, and it will be fascinating to see how No. 39 follows up his breakout year from here.
