The Boston Bruins are currently in the final stretch of their season. Overall, it has been a successful regular season for the Bruins, as they are among the top clubs in the league standings. Now, they are preparing for what will hopefully be a better postseason run.

However, when it comes to next season, the Bruins could very well sport a far different roster. The Original Six club has several pending UFAs like Matt Grzelcyk, James van Riemsdyk, Kevin Shattenkirk, Derek Forbort, and Danton Heinen. However, their most notable pending UFA is Jake DeBrusk, and he is now being viewed as among the best players who could hit the market.

In his latest NHL Free-Agency Big Board for the Bleacher Report, Lyle Richardson ranked DeBrusk as the 14h best player who could hit the market this summer.

DeBrusk, 27, is certainly a notable pending UFA who should generate plenty of interest if he hits the market. When he plays at his highest level, he is a top-six forward. Along with that, he has multiple years left in his prime, so that naturally raises his value as a UFA.

DeBrusk has struggled a bit with consistency this season, but all in all, he has still put up solid offensive totals in 2023-24. In 74 games on the campaign, he has 18 goals, 39 points, and a plus-7 rating.

The Bruins have a big decision to make when it comes to DeBrusk's future in Boston. If he hits the free-agent market, some potential suitors include the Edmonton Oilers, Calgary Flames, and Montreal Canadiens.
