This Boston Bruins superstar had multiple surgeries this offseason.

Jake DeBrusk and Charlie Coyle were The Hockey News picks for the mid-season Selke Trophy.

On Tuesday, many Boston Bruins players returned to the ice for captain's practice. One of them was, of course, captain Brad Marchand.

At the practice, Marchand shared that he had three surgeries this offseason to repair a torn tendon in his elbow, a groin injury, and an abdominal injury.

Marchand also revealed that he had his elbow injury throughout the 2023-24 campaign. He suffered his other injuries later in the campaign.

At this juncture, the expectation is that Marchand will be good to go for the start of the season.

Marchand, 36, appeared in all 82 regular-season games this past campaign with the Bruins, posting 29 goals, 67 points, and a plus-2 rating. That is certainly solid offensive production, especially when noting that he was dealing with injury trouble all season. In addition, he had a strong postseason, recording three goals, 10 points, and a plus-3 rating in 11 playoff games.

It will now be fascinating to see what kind of season Marchand has after undergoing several surgeries this summer.
