At the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline, the Boston Bruins landed Pat Maroon from the Minnesota Wild. With the Bruins needing more toughness, it was an understandable move. However, due to back surgery, Maroon has yet to make his debut for the B's. That may be changing shortly.
Maroon, 35, was a full participant at the Bruins' practice today. The gritty winger skated with Pavel Zacha and Danton Heinen on the club's second line.
While this does not automatically mean that Maroon will be playing in the Bruins' next game, it is very encouraging to see him practice as a full participant for the first time since being acquired. The St. Louis native will need to shake off the rust before getting into game action, as he has not played since the end of January.

Once Maroon is officially good to go, he will be a notable addition to the Bruins' lineup. He will not only give Boston more toughness but also provide them with more experience and secondary production. In 49 games this season, Maroon has four goals, 16 points, 60 penalty minutes, and 71 hits.
