David Pastrnak threw a massive hit in Game 2.
The Boston Bruins suffered a disappointing 3-2 loss to the Toronto Maple Leafs in Game 2. A win would have given them a commanding 2-0 series lead heading back to Toronto, but the Bruins put together an underwhelming effort and are now tied 1-1 because of it.
While this was undoubtedly a frustrating game for the Bruins, it did have some positive moments. For example, superstar David Pastrnak, more known for his offensive skill, provided some big-time physicality in this matchup.
Pastrnak, 27, threw a highlight reel reverse hit on Maple Leafs star John Tavares. Tavares was looking to lay out Pastrnak, but No. 88 had other plans and sent the Leafs captain flying.
Pastrnak doesn't get enough credit for his grit and toughness, but hits like these show that he can handle himself well. The hope from here is that he continues to make an impact physically in the playoffs while also, of course, providing a lot of offense.
