The Hockey News Big Show - Jeremy Swayman Contract

Former Boston Bruins defenseman Jakub Zboril has signed a five-year deal with HC Dynamo Pardubice from the Czech Extraliga. He will be under contract with the Czech club until the completion of the 2028-29 season.

Zboril, 27, signed a professional tryout (PTO) agreement with the New Jersey Devils during this past training camp. However, the left-shot defenseman did not make the team. Now, he has instead landed this long-term deal overseas.

Zboril was selected by the Bruins with the 13th overall pick of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. The expectation was that he would develop into a key piece for the Bruins, but that just did not come to fruition.

Zboril appeared in just 76 games with the Bruins over four seasons, posting one goal, 15 assists, and 16 points. Overall, he had some decent moments with the club but was never able to become a mainstay on their blueline. His time with the Bruins ended this past season when he was traded to the Columbus Blue Jackets as a part of the Andrew Peeke trade.
