During the Boston Bruins' Feb. 27 matchup against the New York Islanders, Bruins forward Matthew Poitras went to the room after being hit into New York's open bench door by Brock Nelson. The Islanders center received a two-minute minor for interference on the play.

At the start of the third period, the Bruins announced that Poitras would be unlikely to return for the contest due to a lower-body injury.

Poitras is one of the Bruins' most promising young players, so they are naturally hoping that this isn't a serious issue for the 20-year-old forward. In 28 games this season with the Bruins, the 2022 second-round pick has one goal, 11 points, and a minus-2 rating.
