This Boston Bruins prospect is having a wonderful start to the season.

Boston Bruins goalie prospect Michael DiPietro quietly had a strong season with the Providence Bruins this past campaign. In 30 appearances, he posted an 18-9-2 record, a .918 save percentage (SV%), and a 2.51 goals-against average (GAA). Overall, he formed a strong tandem with Brandon Bussi for Providence.
Now, DiPietro is picking up right where he left off, as he has been sensational for Providence early on this season. In his first two appearances, he has a 2-0-0 record, a .962 SV%, and a 1.00 GAA.
In DiPietro's first start of the season against the Bridgeport Islanders, he saved 28 out of 30 shots faced. He then followed that up with a dominant performance against the Springfield Thunderbirds, recording a 23-save shutout.

While DiPietro is more of an under-the-radar prospect in Boston's system, he certainly will grab more attention if he continues to play this well. He has been Providence's best goalie by far early on this season, as Bussi has a 0-2-0 record, a 4.61 GAA, and a .857 SV% in his first two starts.
It will now intriguing to see how well DiPietro performs from here.
