The Boston Bruins have had an up-and-down start to their 2024-25 season, as evidenced by their 3-2-1 record. While some of their top players have had slow starts, some of their depth guys have stepped up in a big way.

One specific Bruin who has had an excellent start to the season is Mason Lohrei.

Lohrei, 23, has been showing off his offensive skill early on, recording one goal and four points in his first five games. It is no secret that the 23-year-old has the potential to become a real offensive threat from the point in the NHL. It is a reason why he is viewed as one of the Bruins' most promising young players. He is demonstrating this immensely so far this season.

Lohrei also has the potential to improve from here. The Bruins are putting him in a position to succeed, as he gets power-play time. In addition, the Bruins have given him some shots on their top pairing with Charlie McAvoy.

It will now be fascinating to see how Lohrei builds on his strong start to the season. If he continues to produce well offensively from the point and improve his defensive game, he could cement himself as a major part of the Bruins' blueline. He undoubtedly has the upside to become just that.
