Without any surprise, the Bruins are moving on from Milan Lucic.

Jake DeBrusk and Charlie Coyle were The Hockey News picks for the mid-season Selke Trophy.

Milan Lucic's second stint with the Boston Bruins is officially done. According to The Fourth Period, Lucic will not return to the Original Six club next season.

This is not surprising news in the slightest. Lucic's season came to an end after he was arrested and arraigned following a domestic abuse incident with his wife, Brittany Lucic.

Brittany later dropped the charges, but the Bruins announced shortly after that he would remain on indefinite leave for the rest of the 2023-24 season. She would later file for divorce.

Given all that happened this season, it is not surprising in the slightest that the Bruins have no intention of re-signing Lucic. It was a nightmare of a way for his reunion in Boston to go, and it's definitely time for the Bruins to move on from this chapter.

Lucic, 35, appeared in just four games for the Bruins in 2023-24, posting two assists and a minus-1 rating.
