A look at some potential landing spots for Sabres winger Jordan Greenway.
Buffalo Sabres winger Jordan Greenway was the subject of trade chatter leading up to the 2024 NHL Trade Deadline. While the Sabres elected not to move him, there's an expectation that they will listen to offers for the power forward this offseason.
As a result, let's discuss three clubs that could target Greenway this summer.
The Vancouver Canucks have had a known interest in Greenway for quite some time, and that carried over to the deadline. Because of this, it would not be shocking in the slightest if they are once again connected to Greenway this offseason. This is especially true if they lose pending UFA and fellow power forward Dakota Joshua this offseason.
Greenway would be a solid addition to the Canucks' third line if acquired and give them plenty more bite. He's the kind of hard-nosed player that head coach Rick Tocchet would love to have.
The New Jersey Devils' biggest objective this offseason will be to add a legitimate starting goalie. While this is the case, they should also look to improve their middle six. As a result, a player like Greenway would make sense for them.
Greenway would give their forward group a nice jolt, as he would provide them with more secondary scoring and toughness. That is something the Devils could use more of right now.
It was a nice year for the Nashville Predators. They took a big step in the right direction with their retool, and they should look to add to their roster this summer because of it. With their top nine needing improvement, Greenway would make sense as a target for them.
Greenway would be a strong fit on the Predators' third line and could work on their power play if acquired.
