This Sabres defenseman has been handed discipline from NHL Player Safety.

The Buffalo Sabres suffered an atrocious 6-2 loss to the Ottawa Senators last night (March 27). This was a game against one of the worst clubs in the league that the Sabres needed to win, and they dropped the ball big time.
Now, more bad news has come from this contest, specifically for Sabres defenseman Bowen Byram. The left-shot defenseman has been fined $5,000, the maximum allowable under the CBA, for interference on Ottawa Senators forward Angus Crookshank.
Byram, 22, was given a minor penalty for interference on the play after hitting Crookshank. The 24-year-old was shaken up on the play but stayed in the game.
Byram has appeared in 65 games this season, split between the Colorado Avalanche and Sabres, posting 11 goals, 26 points, and a plus-1 rating.
