The Buffalo Sabres are expected to add a top-six winger this offseason, and it is understandable when looking at their current group. This year's free agency class offers plenty of potential options, and the Sabres have cap space to work with. That puts them in a solid spot.

One specific winger who should grab the Sabres' attention this offseason if he hits the market is Boston Bruins sniper Jake DeBrusk. The 2015 first-round pick has yet to sign an extension with the Bruins, and there is a real chance he will hit the market because of it.

DeBrusk, 27, will have a plethora of suitors if the Bruins don't re-sign him. He is a skilled top-six winger with multiple years left in his prime. This naturally adds to his value.

DeBrusk struggled with consistency this season but still ended the year with decent stats. In 80 games, the Edmonton native posted 19 goals and 40 points. However, he has noticeably picked up his play in the postseason, posting five goals and nine points in 11 games thus far.

With the Sabres needing help on offense, a player like DeBrusk should grab their attention. He has three seasons with at least 25 goals and has had at least 40 points in five out of his seven career NHL seasons. Adding that kind of production would be certainly be beneficial for a team looking to get back into the playoffs like Buffalo.
