Per a report from Sweden, Axel Sandin Pellikka is on the brink of returning from an injury that has held him out of action since the World Junior

2023 Detroit Red Wings first round pick Axel Sandin Pellikka has not played since January 5th, when he and Team Sweden fell at the hands of the United States in the gold medal game of the World Juniors.
Per reports that came out in the immediate aftermath of the event, Sandin Pellikka played through injury at that tournament, and he was not available for his SHL team, Skellefteå AIK, since. Despite that injury, he helped lead the way for the Swedes with two goals and four assists in seven games.
Now, a new report from Rasmus Kågström of HockeySverige and FolkBladet suggests that Sandin Pellikka's return is imminent. Kågström reported that he could be back in the lineup as soon as tomorrow when Skellefteå takes on Modo, adding "the comeback seems to be coming this week."
It's of course good news for the Red Wings to have Sandin Pellikka back in game action, and he has also enjoyed a stellar season with Skellefteå to date, picking up nine goals and four assists in 25 games this season.
